CDI Clinician Winner of Dressage Training Prize
FEI rider and trainer Jan Brons is the winner of the first Carol Lavell Advanced Dressage Prize from The Dressage Foundation. Jan began giving clinics at the Chesapeake Dressage Institute last year and will be going back and forth from his training in Europe to offer several more clinics this summer.According to the Dressage Foundation, this $25,000 prize “is to provide financial assistance for coaching and training to a talented, committed, qualified rider whose plan is to reach and excel at the elite, international standards of high performance dressage.”President and CEO of the Dressage Foundation Lendon Gray remarked that “a strong field of applicants applied for this important new prize, and the Selection Committee, comprised of distinguished dressage leaders had their work cut out for them.”
Jan is very respected in the dressage world, both by his clients and his peers and we feel very honored that we are one of the three sites in the US he has chosen to give clinics. For further information on Jan (pronounced “Yon”) take a look at his website.
